Martha Rodríguez Mendiola

— Background

Martha Rodríguez is professor of biology at STEM High School. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from University of Nuevo León, a master’s degree in food biotechnology from Instituto Politécnico Nacional (CINVESTAV), and a doctorate in plant biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, England. Since 1999 she has been professor/researcher at Instituto Tecnológico de Tlajomulco, Jalisco. Her research interest is focused on the application of biotechnology to the culture of cells and tissues of plants used as raw material in the agriculture, medicine, and food industries. Specifically, she is interested in the phonological development of hydroponic and aeroponic crops in vertical farming systems controlled with LED light.
