Gabriel Castillo Cortés

— Background

Gabriel Castillo is a visiting professor of computer science at STEM High. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer systems engineering from Universidad de las Américas-Puebla and a master's degree on computer science from University of California, Davis, where he is working to earn his Ph.D. in computer science. Currently, he is fulltime professor of the School of Engineering at Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara. His research interests are on character animation, machine learning, data visualization and UX design. Previously, he taugh courses at UC Davis extension and the Stanford University Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes. He has held positions at Softtek, Freescale, Google and IBM.
