Fernando Buendía

— Background

Fernando Buendía is Director of Formation and professor of ethics, philosophy, statistics, financial mathematics, and administration at STEM High School. He obtained a Ph.D. in administration from École de Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC, Montreal) and a master’s degree in public policy from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He holds two bachelors' degree in economics and in business administration. Dr. Buendía has held various academic and administrative positions at Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, Universidad Panamericana, and at EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he was director of the MBA and the doctorate in administration. His academic work has been published in Complexity, Complex Systems Journal, Business System Review, Physical Science and Applications, and Business Management Dynamics. He is founder and first president of the Mexico City Institute of Technology and founder and director of University Academy Arx.
